It has been said that the Bible is God’s love letter to man, and that is just what it is. It is not a family news update that God has sent out en masse to all of his children. He wrote it specifically and thoughtfully for each of us. Every story, correction, promise, instruction, and encouragement is meant to have meaning in our everyday life. We must search for this meaning. Our divine romance is full of mysteries hidden in our lover’s letter to us. Only in seeking to discover these mysteries can we begin to really feel and understand our God’s great love for us.
